Have you ever stopped to realize the potential of the human body, the human mind? Is it possible to have an electric current running through your body, or to move objects by sheer willpower? Such things are from fables, and can’t possibly exist.
Think again.
In a time of science, the world has reacted negatively overall to the discovery that humans could actually possess such powers, through the genetic anomalies in their DNA. Some countries exterminate these individuals, while others attempt to protect them, teach them. One such place is Whitesbury Academy for the Gifted, a school in England where teenagers aged 16 to 18 find refuge, learn to use and master their abilities while still earning a regular education.
But anytime you have power, darkness looms in the shadows…
There is no doubt that there are some mutants that let their power go to their heads. They use it for personal gain, for greed, to strike back at the humans for discrimination. For decades a rebel group, self-proclaimed The Black Hand alluding to the rebel group from world history, has formed a team of these types of mutants, striking back at the world, and eliminating any obstacles in repressing mutants, establishments like Whitesbury Academy included.
After months of animosity, and with multiple spies, agents disguised as students infiltrating the school, The Black Hand attacked. The battle was fierce and brutal, with numerous casualties on both sides. Many beloved students perished in the attempt to protect their school, their friends, and their home. Nevertheless, the students and staff of Whitesbury Academy pushed through, defeating the group and leaving them crippled.
However, an individual amongst the ranks of The Black Hand now threatens the world with his children, True Mutants. With Victor Janice posing more and more of a threat each day, the students of Whitesbury must not dwell on their recess from the Hand for too long, for the new enemy lurks ever closer…
