Aurora entered the great hall apprehensively. She didn't know where she was, or rather she did and she was afraid. She pulled her soft gray coat tighter around her, as if trying to conceal herself from sight. She wore warm boots and loose cloth pants that still had some snow attached to them. Underneath her coat she wore a soft, pale blue, satin shirt and a tighter black vest. The vest reminded her of the corsets she was used to wearing back at home...
She looked around, tucking a wavy strand of light brown hair behind her ear, where was everyone? Philip? Flora, Fauna? Merryweather? She was alone. She bit her lip, she hated being alone. Slowly she started walking around, looking at her surrounds and for someone to talk to. There had to be someone...somewhere, right?

Yawning, a terrified girl stretched rather lazily upon a tree. Her eyelids heavy with sleep and god knows what else. Large bright yet dazed gray orbs focused on the scene before her. Her tall, lean, slender figure clad in a light blue satin gown adorned with a large bow in the back could be seen hidden behind a large oak tree.
Smiling softly to herself, Alice pulled out powdery sort of substance encased in a green leaf of sorts. Lighting the cylindrical object, she inhaled deeply and out came small rings of smoke. Yes, it was rather refreshing, but the effects rather permanent. Her body suffered greatly due to the constant substance use. Her once cherubic, childish face was now hollowed and thin, her soft jaw line now reduced to a sharp curve. Her brilliant charcoal eyes were sunken and enveloped in dark rings. The girl casually ran her long spidery fingers through her thick golden mane of golden waves in between puffs. Anxiously, she awaited the warm feeling of euphoria to claim her.
'Hmm, this could be...rather fun,' she thought maliciously as she noticed a girl of her age enter rather hesitantly.
Smiling mischievously, Alice called out rather loudly, "Hello ,there. What can I do for you?"

Aurora paused and looked at the girl who had spoken to her. A small shy smile came her lips, but as she came closer she noticed the girl's pale and sunken pallor. She looked sick. The small air of smoke around her didn't help. "Hello, I'm new here to this place and I was just wandering around looking for someone who could help me. I'm terribly lost and I'm afraid I don't know anyone."
She looked around. "Where exactly am I?" Her eyes scanned her surroundings. She wondered if Philip was here. Or maybe Fauna, Flora and Merryweather! That would be terribly helpful. She didn't want to be here alone.

"Hello, I'm new here to this place and I was just wandering around looking for someone who could help me. I'm terribly lost and I'm afraid I don't know anyone. Where exactly am I?" The young brunette had questioned.
Alice shrugged nonchalantly as she raised an elegant eyebrow in amusement, "I suppose you're new here? New to this world, I mean. Not that I blame you... It's rather...confusing at first, for the lack of a more promising word. Hmm, right now, you seem to be in the entrance hall of St. Gregory's Academy."
Smiling softly, the girl took another slow puff as she felt a feeling of calm and euphoria quickly take over her rather morbid sense of humor.
Her eyes widened in a mock shock an she let out a rather dramatic gasp, "Oh, yes , how rude of me. I'm Allison Van der Laund. However, you may simply refer to me as Alice, and you may be?"

"I'm Aurora. Aurora Mastriani. But you can call me Rose if you like. Most everyone back," she paused searching for the right word, "at home does." She smiled politely. "Confusing seems to be the most accurate term for how I am feeling right now." She looked around. "St. Gregory's? A school?" Her eyes landed back on this Alice girl and she smiled. "How exciting! I've never been to a school before..." She paused and looked around quickly. "I mean...I was homeschooled my entire life thus far...so a school with other students is a very exciting thing for me." She looked around nervously.
She completely side-stepped saying anything about being new to this world. This girl didn't seem like someone from the Homeland...or at least not someone good. Perhaps it was just circumstance? But Aurora didn't want to say too much to the wrong person. It could prove detrimental to her quest to get back home, and to Philip. She'd get to know this girl and see who she really was.
